The people who’ve impacted my life the most have been those that were the most real, those that were authentic.  You’ve likely heard the expression – “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”  Authentic people care, authentic businesses are honest and care.

I don’t ever want to put on a business face, try to portray experience I don’t have and rattle off about how I’m a web marketing “expert“.  The fact is, I’m continuing to learn new things every single day.  It’s part of the reason why I really love working on the web.

I find that when I try to be something or someone I’m not, it chokes out the genuine creative fires that burn inside.  There’s tremendous freedom in simply being me.  I want to be the best me, the most authentic.

MONTHLY BUILDING REPORT

There’s a feature here called The Monthly Building Report, where I chronicle the details of building the Blue Lobster Media site and business.  It’s not a case study looking back on a fully functional polished project, but, rather a running documentary, for better or for worse, as I set out to build this business from the ground up.
